Chapter:3 Friendly Fire | Paper Bloom

Chapter-3-Friendly-Fire

Friendly Fire | We went on, fighting, camping, moving to a new place, repeating. But since that incident, Chandler and I would stop at warehouses, make space so Chandler could practice his inner powers, while I quietly studied his moves and patterns of the power coming and leaving. One day, Chandler was practicing until he made a move that he called “ The Void Breaker”.

He would hold the head of his target, move in circles, gain speed, and slowly start to scrape the rival’s head on the ground at speeds of Mach 20 (making a vacuum inside the circle). Then, to finish off, he takes a sharp turn and launches them with his bare hands, which sometimes causes him to bruise his fingers, but he doesn’t feel pain (I mean, he shouldn’t; he’s 18).

This time, he dislocated his shoulder joint, so we went to a nearby hospital in our van, and while I was taking him inside, I had to rest him on my shoulder because he was exhausted. Once inside, I slammed him on a nearby stretcher and went inside the emergency room to find things.

Didn’t find much, just a Blood Pressure apparatus. As I was about to turn, I heard something charge. I quickly ducked down, and a yellow beam hit the wall, and some debris fell off. I hid underneath the nearest stretcher, took out my pocket knife, and cut the metallic parts off the stethoscope. While more beams and debris fell around me, I got out of the stretcher and started swinging the rubber part that was left from the stethoscope.

(Unknown): WHO ARE YOU!? Why are you here!?

Me: First, tell me who you are!

(Unknown): Why do you ask?

Me: Because I am just here to relocate my friend’s shoulder.

(Unknown): Wait, so you’re not one of them?

Me: Nope.

(Unknown): Oh, sorry for the trouble, by the way, my name is Susan.

Me: Nice to meet you!

We got the supplies, and she helped me relocate Chandler’s shoulder.

In the evening, Chandler woke up from his daily sleep, and I introduced Susan to him. Once we knew each other, we found out that she loves science and engineering, so when we were exploring, we got her some books while we also found supplies.

Later, she witnessed Chandler’s powers; he was now capable of making it come when he was excited and adrenaline filled within him.

His heart would get excited when something made him happy or if he was in the mood to fight zombies.

Susan was amazed by his powers, and she thought of something, but kept it a secret.

(Many weeks later)

We might not be able to survive!, yelled Chandler. We were cornered, and I was exhausted and almost fell to the ground, and Chandler’s heart was not in an excited state. We were about to die, but then we heard our van coming, and it rammed into the zombies. It was Susan who was driving.

“Hop in!” she said, and she accelerated faster than the van’s speed limit. How? I don’t know, but she said that she had swapped our V6 engine for a custom V12 engine

Then we saw muscular zombies; we called them “jacked zombies”
We thought we would be dead, but Susan said, “Not on my watch.” She opened the horn button – NOT THE DASHBOARD; it was a literal cockpit inside of ot, she hit a blue button, and guess what came out: the headlights swapped out for pistons with rotating drill heads! And the pistons were moving back and forth, and that is the day we called “Rotten Smoothie”

Have an idea with this:

“horn opening”
“click sound”
“mechanical noises”
“drills and pistons”

SQUAAAAAAASSSSSSHHHHH!!!!

Susan: Rotten Smoothie!

Chandler: Indeed, Rotten Smoothie, now let’s go home and give Zane some electrolyte water

Yes, my name is Zane, and when I heard the whole story, I was amazed,

Friendly Fire was Incredible!
